A grand event, with a fine writer

Look everyone, it's me & one mister walter mosley of Devil in a Blue Dress, and Fearless Jones fame. Oh, and who's that he's chatting with? Well golly, that's Robert S.P. Lee, young and up in coming writer extraordinare.

This was taken after the Edgar's awards ceremony was over. Mosley was a great guy to speak to. I was looking rather smooth my zoot wasn't I.

The Symposium on Wednesday was as good as it always was. Very informative,

with the various panels therein. The Screenwriters panel (Scene and Screen: Case studies in Screenwriting) was the most informative along with the panel with Robert S. Levinson's advise about getting your foot in the door (and your books on the shelf). THe information was very good to have heard. There was even mention of the importance of having a website (heh, like the one you are reading now, well, something like this: Changes will come when I have the time) and a "Press-kit" on your site making it easier for interested parties to download images of yourself for magazine article writers and what not. Note*Pernell killed me! having to change your name and gender just to get a book deal, would more than many of us could say we'd be will to do. personally, If it were me, i'd have to take a second look at my abilities if the case ever came to that. I did get to enjoy Bruce Singer and Bill Chamber's company once again ( my friend bill drop some size rather quick since last I saw him. had me kinda worried.)

The edgar's awards was nice, though I arrived late, missing everyone. It was a pleasant event (*NOTE: TODD, hush) with the comedic talents of Pernell, and the guitar styles, it turned out very nice. I got there late due to an accident on the L.I.E, so that was fun.

the best thing about Edgar's week, was after the symposium, at the Partner's & Crime birthday slash anniversery party.

Which became the highlight of my evening when:

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! TODD ROBINSON'S NOVEL,

"THUG" WILL SEE PRINT SOON SO BE ON THE LOOK OUT!

(CLICK HERE TO READ THREE CHAPTERS ON HIS SITE!)

Todd Robinson, and his THUGETTES, bum rushed the scene, handing out tee-shirts and pressing the flesh. Good ol' Todd, making those moves, and those moves have paid off in spades! (*COUGH* movie potential, famous actor)

Anyhow, upon our ejection of the party after about 10 minutes (good seeing Reed coleman there) and our subsequent lottering outside, handing out tee-shirts and what not, a double decker tour buss came right in front of the store. Suddenly there were tee-shirts flying, horns beeping, and pretty girls in highheels and cut tee-shirts in the streets. Now tell me, is that, or is that not, how you sell yourself. IMPRESSION. made.

Thus, ending Edgar's week for me.

to those whom won, I congratulate you (Todd, shut up! I can hear you laughing.). Next year, I will be one of you.
